Finally a lovely California weather is staying!
Hollywood Park will be gong for just a couple of weeks to end this meet but in the meantime a lot is going on. We still have some very good quality races to follow.
I'LL HAVE ANOTHER is having a wonderful time at home. The Hollywood Park based-horse is partying like a rockstar at its barn (Doug O'Neill's)... for some reason it reminds me of Zenyatta, except that the Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner is a very young boy and will leave to Japan very soon.
In other news, trainer Mike Mitchell had a surgery yesterday, He was diagnosed with a brain tumor recently that now has ben removed. The surgery went well and now he is recovering. We wish him a speed one!
Back at the track, today there are 10 races, including two featured races: the Triple Bend Handicap and the Shoemaker Mille Stakes; the favorites on each of these big races are THE FACTOR and MR. COMMONS, respectively.
Also , there is a pick 6 carryover of $70 thousand; remember that it starts in race 5.
