As you know, preparations for the Kentucky Derby are running and while everyone is checking their horses for the the most popular race in the US, here in Souther California is just about goodbyes, since it's final weekend at Santa Anita! It's hard to believe that the winter/spring meet is almost over, but that's the truth.... Before we get all sad (we'll leave that for tomorrow), let's check what this amazing has for us.
Aqueduct has a very special race, the Jerome Stakes, with a purse is $200,000... and we have you covered.
At Santa Anita, today is Fan Appreciation Day! Yes, just as you read. As soon as yo pay your entrance, the gifts will come to you... well, not exactly, but let me tell you that the track is preparing some surprises to let you know how appreciate it you are, my dear fans.
And talking about surprises, jockey Victor Espinoza will be spotted today at SA. The mexican jockey is back after an injury a couple of months ago. He was expected to return last Thursday but in the end it will be tomorrow when he will be back in action.
