IT'S OPENING DAY AT DEL MAR!

Finally, where the turf meets the surf will give some excitement to horse racing in California.

Its still morning and even though right now ain't as sunny as usual, the weather is fantastic and the crowds are already targeting the track entrances... this seems to be as fun as ever!

My dear racing fans, is hard to believe that your blog, Paddock Picks,  has its birthday today!!!! This is our first year "on air" and we are more than happy to celebrate it with all of you! Is great that you come and visit this place to check my picks for the races. Your support comments and reviews have been amazing and I couldn't appreciate it more. Today, there are 10 races. The featured one are the 67th Ocenaside Stakes, first and second division.

Remember that there will be a Hat Contest, so bring your best fascinator and your biggest hat to participate. Good prizes will be given to the most original, most traditional and ... just come with your hat, besides, your face will appreciate it with this weather.
