   Did you see the Olympics' ceremony? It was awesome... and long! Those fireworks really took my breath ways... Hopefully our athletes will bring home the gold for one more time... I wonder how would horse racing look as an olympic competition...

   An talking about athletes, there have been a lot of news since Del Mar started, but definitely one that is creating a lot of controversy (again) is one of their jockeys. Chantal Sutherland, the new face of the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, has also other partnerships, like with TVG, one of the most important TV companies related with horse racing.

   This time, they have launches a campaign named "Summer of Mobile", to promote bets on mobile devices and tablets, which has nothing in special, besides that there's an QR code on Sutherland's pants, located at her back, low back (on her "backside" as everyone is calling it). This "promotion" will be going on until the End of the Del Mar meet... what do you think of it?

Going back to the track, today there will be other promotions as well, just not of that kind.

This Saturday, the Gourmet Food Truck Festival arrives to Dell Mar for the second time and it will host more than 50 food different options from Southern California and the world. The event will be on the 'concert" area... I'm sure it will smell delicious!

Today there are 10 races, including the Fleet Treat Stakes and the San Diego Handicap. On the first one there's a field of 9 horses, the morning leader is WILLA B AWESOME. On the SD Handicap, there are 7 strong contenders, being KETTEL CORN the favorite.
