BREEDERS' CUP Day 2 @ Santa Anita (Classic!)

Good morning my racing fans,

Day 1 of the Breeders' Cup was very, very, very AMAZING!  Santa Anita looked very full of life, there were patrons, fascinators and horses all around... ooh yeah, and purple items all aroud.

However, there's nothing like a "purple" Saturday. If yesterday there were more than 34,000 people at the track, today I'm guessing that at least 45,000 will be enjoying this international event.

Lots of parties, food and drinks are being affered for everyone who is being part of this experince... you still have time to come to "The Great race Place". Races start at 10 AM, but I definitely suggest you arrive as early as possible... besides, is the last day, so I am sure you want to have fun as much as possible.



   Today, as you may know, is the BC Classic... So far, 12 super horses have been entered. The favorite  for the last days has been GAME ON DUDE, who now will be ridden by jockey Rafael Bejarano. 

Post time for this race is 5:35 PM... and believe me, is worth watching! Past races has given us great champions and  this Classic won't be the exception.

Big all big events shocking news come along and the 29th edition of the Breeders' Cup Championship is not the exception.

 During the last two weeks, there has been plenty of "breaking" news so many that a newspaper could be written without a problem.

Here are some of the BIG headlines:

- Frankel was retired after winning at the British Champions (14 wins of 14 races: impressive!)
-  Chantal Sutherland too, retires at Woodbine.
- Jockey Frankie Dettori is a freelance, goodbye Godophin.

Well, the Cal Cup Day was full of lots of fun and big prizes. For us, there were a couple of small winnings, even though we missed a nice pay of 55.40 to win.... good thing horse racing keeps going and today we have a chance to make thisng better.

Jockeys Joel Rosario and Russel Baze came to santa Anita and tood some of the gold back home.As expected, Rosario delivered on the John Deere Cal Cup Distaff with the favorite TIZ FLIRTATIOUS, while Baze got the Lava Man Cal Cup Classic aboard LUCKY PRIMO. ther winners: the trio of jocke winners: Talamo (2), Gomez and Bejarano.
