   Are you hearing the cash call? Today is the Sunshine Millions, which means that good quality horses will run today. Basically, is a competition West Coast (California) vs. East Coast (florida), where Santa Anita has 5 stakes races and Gulfstream has 4, giving a total of 9.
   Here in SA, it has become a party time, since it also offers entertainment and other surprises; this year there's a food truck festival, live DJ music and a bikini contest (I'm sure you didn't see that one coming!).
   The stakes races for "the greatest place to race"are: the Santa Ysabel, Sensational Star Crystal Water, Valentine Dancer and the Santa Monica.
   Oh, and also there's going to be a guarantee Pick 6 today which has its own name: LUCK, in honor to the new HBO series that starts tomorrow.
   Here are the Stakes picks for today:

Race 3: Santa Ysabel ($100,000):  EDEN'S MOON, KILLER GRACES... keep an eye on CHARM THE MARKER, looks good.

Hello everyone, Paddock Girl here:

  Yesterday was an interesting day thanks to the rainy weather we're still having in southern California. Some changes we made during the day that gave as a result unexpected winners, even for their own connections.
  In the 60th edition of the Palos Verdes Stakes, the Eclipse Award winner and favorite Amazombie was scratched and the winner in the end was Frumious, who got it first stakes win in its career. For the Megahertz Stakes, the prize went for Vamo a Galupiar, a chilean bred that beated Celestian Kitten and Mensa Heat during this race.

  Even though the sky is still cloudy, I'm sure fun will be part of today's racecard, which by the was, has 9 races, including the famous La Canada Stakes and the San Pedro Stakes.

   These are the picks for this cold Sunday:

Race 2: LUTESS, SHE'S VERY RARE.

 Race 4: San Pedro Stakes ($75,000): MIDNIGHT TRANSFER, GOT EVEN... keep an eye on DRILL, looks much better than on its last race.

 Race 6: THE DIRECTOR, QUINTONS DESTINY

 Race 8: TIZ FLIRTATIOUS, MAY DAY ROSE... include GREAT HOT in your 'fectas, Chantal will give fight on this one.

  Remember that next week is the Sunshine Millions! For the 10th time, Florida and California bring their best to the track to give notion of the quality of their horses. Big surprises are coming next Saturday: a special pick 6 option, food truck festival, live music... and bikini contest?... we'll see how it goes. Early post that day (12 pm).

 Good morning everyone!

   It seems like sunny California is not showing up today at Arcadia, but since is winter season, I guess it should be fine to have some cold weather, right?

   Yesterday was a little hard day for bettors, fortunately we did well in our picks... however let me tell you that since there was a spill issue during the last race, there's a pick 6 carryover of $102, 596 that could be more than $500,000 before the beginning of the last 6 races. In case that today nobody takes it home, you still have a chance this monday, since the track will be open for Martin Luther King Jr. Day (plus, the $2 beer and hog dogs sounds like a deal).

   Today there are 9 races again, but it includes two featured ones: the Santa Ynez Stakes for fillies and the Paseana Handicap for both fillies and mares.

   Here are the picks for today:

Race 2: KVELL, MANGO TART... keep an eye on FRANNIE.

Race 4:  Santa Ynez S. ($150,000, opens pick 6):  RENEEGOTZIP, CANDREA... keep an eye on ROWDY GAL, might hit the winning circle.

Race 5: GLORIFIED, CAROUSEL... include DUBAWI PERFECTO in your 'fectas.

Race 6: MERLIN Z, ABSOLUTCAT.

Race 8: Paseana H. ($75,000): BRIECAT, ELLAFITZ... include VISION IN GOLD in your 'fectas, but if you want to to a trifecta box here, you should be fine.

Well, it was a fun way to start the year with last weekend's results.And this time we have another chance to hit that board, right?

As you might know, jockey Garret Gomez hurt his ankle last weekend, Even though he's not riding today and it might take a little longer for him to come back, he's doing well. Wet gell soon GoGo.

At Santa Anita, the weather is not sunny as we were getting used to, but still, is nice.  Today there are 9 races,  including the San Fernando Stakes.

There were a couple of surprises at the track yesterday. Not only Santa Anita got its 100,000th customer walking down the Club House entrance, but also the Sham Stakes and the San Pascual Stakes were won by Out of Bounds (Garret Gomez again) and Uh Oh Bango (Mike Smith), respectively. Our favorites Secret Circle and Tres Borrachos got second on their races... not to say that it was disappointing, but boy, those winning horses came out of nowhere, paying very good ($22.80 and $16 to win). Still, it wasn't a bad day after all, we got some exactas and horses on the money.

Today, is time to cash some money. There will be 9 races, including the Daytona Stakes, where the super favorite is Regally Ready in a field of 7 horses.

Sunday January 1 Picks (New Year)

    I'm very excited to start this year, which I'm sure it will be filled with plenty of good surprises and happy moments. My wish for you is that you not only find happiness, health and love, but also that you find a way to treasure the most important aspect in your life:  your loved ones and of course, the ability to get surprised and to give thanks for all the many blessings that you receive everyday... oh, one more thing... winning horses for all!, but well, we'll make that happen, right?

   I don't know you, but I think that we closed 2011 with some very good prizes . Yesterday's winning bets where a nice way to celebrate and since the show must go on,  let's go to check what's going on.
